Donald C. Heyart, age 81, of Lower Burrell, Passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
Born February 11, 1937 in New Kensington; he was a 1955 graduate of New Kensington High School (Ken-Hi), and a New Kensington and Lower Burrell resident most of his life.
Mr. Heyart was a purchasing agent at Lincoln Fabricating, Penn Hills, a structural steel firm, for 33 years, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of New Kensington where he was active in many capacities.
An Army veteran, Mr. Heyart was involved with Army Intelligence during the Bay of Pigs Crisis.
Preceding him in death were his parents Weltie Charles and Elsie A. Miller Heyart. Friends and Family will be received in The ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday May 21, where a funeral service will be held at 10am, Tuesday . Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. David Hefferan. Burial with military honors, accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard, will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park.
