Dolores Ann (Bengel) Morrow Obituary

Dolores Ann Morrow, 89, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.


She was born June 19, 1935, in New Kensington to the late George & Genevieve Vent Bengel, and was a 1953 graduate of Arnold High School. She then attended secretarial school.  


Mrs. Morrow was a secretary to the principal of Valley High School in New Kensington from 1973-1990 in the New Kensington-Arnold School District.  


Dolores was a longtime member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church of New Kensington, the Moose Club, American Legion, and VFW, all of Lower Burrell, and the Eagles of New Kensington.  She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, and darts, and Bocce at the Spartaco Club. She loved to vacation at her Florida home, and was known as the baby holder in her family. 


Survivors include her children, Eileen L. (Ed) Barbiaux, Susan A. (John) Grose, Barbara J. Maclaine and Charles A. (Diane) Morrow Jr.; grandchildren, Michael (Courtney) Barbiaux, Suellyn (Jarrod) Johns, David (Courtney) Grose, Justin (Emily) Morrow, and Julia Morrow; great-grandchildren, Jillian Barbiaux, Willa Barbiaux, Jayden Johns, Adam Grose, Quinn Grose, and Montana & Dakota Morrow; as well as siblings, Donald (Judy) Bengel, Dr. Robert (Patty) Bengel, and Kathleen Miller.  


Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Allen Morrow Sr., and a brother-in-law, Donald Miller.


Viewing will be on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where prayers of transfer will be held Monday, May 19, at 9:30, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
