Dennis A. Quaglieri, 73, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023.
He was born May 16, 1950 to the late Dennis J. & Alma “Sis” Herda Quaglieri, in Sharpsburg and was a 1968 Shaler High School graduate.
Dennis was a Third Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy, stationed in Baltimore. After his stint in the Navy, he became an auto body shop technician, then a manager for several automotive dealerships. He later was an insurance adjustor, and most recently owned a home improvement business, retiring about ten years ago.
He enjoyed bowling in several leagues, antique shopping, refinished antique furniture and rebuilt and restored many antique and classic cars, winning many first prize awards. Every Christmastime he enjoyed decorating the outside of his home with up to 10,000 lights. He was an avid Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers and especially Pirates fan.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Lisa A. Byers Quaglieri; three sons, Dennis A. (Angela) Quaglieri Jr., Jeffrey S. Quaglieri, and Matthew J. (Nicole) Quaglieri; six grandchildren, Maura, Benjamin, Luke, Abigail and Andrew Quaglieri, and Kaitlyn (Mike) O’Neal; and great grandson, Bentley O’Neal; and his brother George Quaglieri.
Viewing will be Saturday, September 23, from 3-5 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held at 8PM by family friend Rev. Ron Cepek. At 3PM Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard will pay tribute to Mr. Quaglieri.
