David A. Ostrosky Sr., aka The Grey Ghost, loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle died peacefully at the age of 75 on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. He was born in New Kensington on July 13, 1946, the only son of the late Albert and Enis Zandona Ostrosky.
David was a member of Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Rosedale Technical Institute Class of 1963. He worked for many years and retired from Alcoa. Dave loved restoring classic and antique cars. When he wasn't working in the garage, he enjoyed spending time on Lake Erie and the Allegheny River fishing and boating with family and friends. Many people will remember him by one of his classic cars, a green 1936 Plymouth Coupe, that you could find parked across the street from his favorite restaurant, Eat’n Park.
Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his surviving children: Dave (Beth) Ostrosky Jr., Diane (Scott) Wolford, and Joe (Donna) Ostrosky; grandchildren: Kristen (Chase) Hemphill, Alison and Andrew Ostrosky; Zack (Fiancé Dayle), Brittney, and Kasey Wolford; Chad (Mindy), Evan, and Marisa Ostrosky; great-granddaughter: Luna; sister: Sylvia Gavasto; nephew: Dan Gavasto; niece: Denise Morris; and his cat, Mickey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved grandson, Christopher Yount, who died in 2002.
