David C. McNicholas

David C. McNicholas, 67, formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023. He was born Jan. 15, 1956, in Quincy, Mass., to the late Leo and Milena (Wujnovich) McNicholas, and was a 1975 graduate of Valley High School. David was maintenance and cafeteria supervisor for Shadyside Academy in Fox Chapel for 32 years. Surviving are siblings, Amy (William) McNicholas Kroll, Steven McNicholas and Chris (Carol) McNicholas; was an uncle, "the best," to Lindsey, Alexandra, Ren, Samantha, Rebecca, MaiLinh, Leo, Jetta and Nova; and great uncle to Sadie and Piper.   Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Troast, MD. Viewing will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Dean Ward will officiate.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Animal Protectors of the Allegheny Valley or the Neurofibromatosis Society would be appreciated.
