Darlene Lou Jendrejewski, 76, of Tarentum, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024.
She was born November 19, 1947 in New Kensington to the late Walter & Jessie Smathers Brink, and was a graduate of Ken-High. In her younger years, she was a student at Caputo Dance Studio in New Kensington where she and her twin sister both excelled in ballet and tap.
Darlene was a devoted nurse’s aide at local nursing homes and enjoyed taking care of people. She enjoyed ceramics, making beaded pictures for loved ones, horror and Lifetime movies and was an avid reader. She especially loved to browse social media to keep in touch with loved ones and cherished her phone conversations with her dear friend Lynn and sister-in-law’s Theresa and Leona.
Another great love were her dogs, Allie and Bo, and cats Muffin, Squeaky Sam and Snickers, and of course, spending time with her loving children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her loving children, Amy Hloznik - Bottorff (Ron), Stephen R. Hloznik III, Sam Hloznik and John Hloznik; her six grandchildren, Garrett, Brenden, Nathan, Danica, Isaiah and Zendaya; adored nieces and nephews, Shannon (Scott) Morrow, Eddie (Vicki) as well as Jessica, Jake, Steve, Jodi, Kelly and Pam; grand-nieces and nephews, Nico, Christian, Savannah, Amya, Eric, Ace, Brooklyn, Price, Jake and Braelynn.
Besides her parents, she is now reunited with her husband Milt Jendrejewski and her beloved twin sister Dianne Sue Erb; siblings, Doyle Brink, Doris Jean Cessaretti, Allen, Johnny and Art Brink.
Private arrangements were entrusted to ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME of New Kensington, followed by inurnment at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, Washington County.
