Daniel R. Ferrari

Daniel Richard Ferrari, 80, passed January 2, 2022, at Cape Coral Hospital, Florida with his family at his side. He was born March 4, 1941 in Natrona Heights, Pa. He is the son of Daniel M. and Violet Mae (Gillis) Ferrari of Creighton, Pa.

Dan graduated from Edfra High School, Class of 1959. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Dan and his wife JoAnn (Seft) Ferrari had just celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary December 22nd while in the hospital. Dan was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 894 Natrona Heights, Pa., American Legion Post 226 Brackenridge, Pa.,  Fraternal Order of The Eagles, Tarentum Elks Lodge 644, and lifelong Member of the Riverforest Yacht Club, Freeport, Pa.

Dan enjoyed boating on the Allegheny River with his family and friends for over 50 years, a loyal Pittsburgh sports fan, and spending time at his Florida residence with his wife.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Jacob Reid Crawford; and brother-in-law, George T. Salego.

Surviving in addition to his wife, JoAnn (Seft) Ferrari, are his daughter, Tammy Ferrari; son, Daniel Joseph Ferrari; grandson, Nathan Crawford; granddaughter, Alexis Ferrari; and sister-in-law, Patricia L. Salego.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Brackenridge American Legion - Post 226.

Friends will be received from 1 PM until time of Celebration of Life Services at 3 PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home, Ltd., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Rev. Dean Ward will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard. Please visit our tribute wall to leave a memory or condolence for Daniel.
