Colleen E. Nelson

Colleen E. Nelson, 85, of Lower Burrell, Pa, passed away January 13, 2025,  at Quality Life Services Apollo following lengthy challenges.

Colleen was born in Charleroi, Pa on January 11, 1940, to Ebenhart and Dorothy Leech Nelson.  Colleen graduated from Charleroi High School in 1958 and retired from ABB Inc as the Quality Manager.

Colleen could light up a room with her smile, Witt and was skilled at making friends and family feel included and cherished.  Colleen especially loved spending time kayaking and entertaining at the cottage along the river in Youngsville Pa. 

Although Colleen is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

Survivors include her life partner/spouse of 37 years Cheryl Bartholf; her brother Arnold Nelson of Illinois; and nephew David; two nieces Barbara and Patti. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her many beloved aunts and uncles.

In accordance with Colleens wishes there will be no viewing or services.  A celebration of life will be arranged in the near future.  Colleen will be cremated and buried with her family at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice, Colleen loved them all.
