Christine S. (Choltco) DeFelices

Christine S. (Choltco) DeFelices, 73, of New Kensington, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at home. She was born on September 24, 1947, in New Kensington where she lived her whole life.

Christine was the loving daughter of George and Blanche (Szmyd) Choltco. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church. After Graduating in 1965 from New Kensington High School, Christine attended nursing school, graduating with an LPN. She worked at Family Services for 30 Years and volunteered at the Veteran’s Hospital. Christine was truly a kind, loving, gentle, caring, compassionate, prayerful “Earth Angel” in every way. She prayed for everyone, trusted deeply in God, and comforted and loved many, especially family. She will be greatly missed.

Christine is survived by her loving husband, David, of seven years; her cousins, Kay (Gae) Reano, Jeanie Nelson, Mary Lou Blank, Barbara (Brent) Gatt, Jeannie Szmyd Molinary, and Gerry Szmyd; and many more cousins and friends from around the country.

She dearly loved her dogs, Smuppy and Bear-Bear and was a wonderful “mother” to them. We know she is resting in peace with Our Dear Lord in Heaven. Christine was truly beautiful, loving “Angel” who touched many lives with love. “So, faith, hope, and love remain, but the greatest of these is love.” Cor. 13:1-13

Viewing will be from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday May 18, 2021 in Ross G. Walker Funeral Home Ltd., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Prayers of transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 19 in the funeral home, followed by funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Parish Church, 1125 Leishman Ave., New Kensington.
