Charles “Chuck” W. Mann Jr., 83, of New Kensington, passed away at UPMC Presbyterian, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, March 25th, 2026.
Charles was born June 29, 1942 in New Kensington to the late Charles Sr., and Margaret Pentek Mann, and lived in the New Kensington area all of his life. He was a 1960 graduate of Ken-Hi and then went on to Clarion University, graduating in 1964 with a bachelor degree in teaching.
Charles worked for both Brackenridge borough and Allegheny Ludlum (for 30 years) where he retired in 2003. After retirement he worked at numerous part-time jobs.
Charles was known for spending time with his family, traveling in his camper, tanning in the sun, fixing things around the house, and just loved keeping himself busy. He was a member of Puckety Presbyterian Church in Lower Burrell, the Fraternal Order of Eagles in New Kensington, Pollock Lodge 502 in Tarentum and Syria Temple (Shriners) in Cheswick.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Anne Johnson Mann; his two sisters, Kathleen Kistler of New Kensington and Marilyn Woodall of Virginia; his three children Doug (Marcy) Mann of Brackenridge, Mindy (Eric) Kinder of Lancaster, OH, and Robert (Katie) Mann of Natrona Heights; and six grandchildren, Cole, Maddie, Grayson, Ally, Emma and Evan.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 28th at 11am at Puckety Presbyterian Church , 1009 Puckety Church Road, Lower Burrell, immediately followed by a luncheon at the Brackenridge American Legion, 845 E. First Avenue, Brackenridge. All are welcome. ROSS G. WALKER was entrusted with all arrangements.
