Cathy Ellen Briggs

Cathy Ellen Briggs, 71 of Arnold, formerly of Allegheny Twp., died comfortably at Transitions Nursing Facility in the early afternoon on Saturday, April 9, 2022. She was born October 19, 1950, in Wilkinsburg, one of four children to the late Wesley H. Wolfe Sr. and Mary (Bodnar) Wolfe.

Cathy went to Penn Hills High School and graduated in 1968.  She married Charles Briggs Jr. and together they raised thier three sons together. She believed in family first and led with a giving heart and unfaltering dedication and love.  Cathy was always the first to say hello and chat with her neighbors to invite them to her porch, worked in the Healthcare field as a Caregiver, and loved to enjoy nature & sit outside and birdwatch.

She will always be remembered for her kindness and grace.  She is survived by her three cherished sons, Charles and Chad of Arnold, and Craig (Dee) Briggs of Nashville, her only beloved grandson, Christopher Briggs, her siblings, Wesley Jr. (Linda), Sandra (Jeff) Durick, and Cynthia Dixon.  

In addition to her parents, she was welcomed by her husband of 26 years, Charles Briggs Jr., who died 1995.
