Caroline O. Anyaogu, 70, of New Kensington, and formerly of New York City and Nigeria, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024.

She was born in Nigeria on Sept. 16, 1953 to the late Okoli Aroh and Benedict Okoro and emigrated to the United States in 1980.  She was a New Kensington resident since 2004.  

She received her Bachelors Degree from St. Joseph College in Brooklyn, New York, and was a nurse at Jamaica Hospital in Queens.  When she came to New Kensington, she worked at different agencies continuing her nursing career.  

Caroline attended Abundant Life Fellowship. She was also an active member of the Igwebuike Igbo Association. 

Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Julius Anyaogu; her children, Chidozie, Neka, Amaobi, Agbomma, and Obianuju, as well as seven grandchildren (and two more on the way).

Viewing will be at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, on Saturday, February 10, from 10AM until 12 noon.  Services will be held immediately after the viewing  by her pastor, Rev. Roger Thomas, in the Abundant Life Fellowship Church, 884 Kenneth Avenue, New Kensington.  Burial will be in Nigeria.
