Carol Lynn Molocznik Watson, 74, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021 at West Penn Hospital, in Pittsburgh, after a battle with kidney cancer. She was born in New Kensington on August 2, 1947 to Florence (Hoover) and Joseph Molocznik.
Carol was the respected matriarch of her family. She could be counted on at any hour of the day, any day of the week. She was always the first person to visit an ill friend, or to care for a sick family member. She loved to organize holiday functions, spend time with her six grandchildren, play card games, meet new people, and cook for her family. She was a past president of the H.D. Berkey Parent-Teachers Association, a member of the AR-KEN Wrens Football Association Boosters, and an AR-KEN cheerleading coach. She was active in all of her children’s extracurricular activities.
Carol is survived by her husband, and high school sweetheart, Kenneth “Butch” Watson to whom she was married for 54 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all who she encountered.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michelle McNair of New Kensington, Kenneth (Bridget) Watson Jr. of Mt. Lebanon, Scott Watson of Arnold, and Tara (Brian) Anderson of New Kensington. She was lovingly known as “Nunny” to her six grandchildren, Shane (Dakota) McNair, Ryan and Ella Anderson, Margaret and Abigail Watson, and Kamden Watson. Carol also leaves behind three loving sisters, Eileen (Richard) Monti, of Natrona Heights, Barbara Fabry, of New Kensington, and Sandra Stone, of New Kensington.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her sister, Beverly Noble.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 pm & 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Ross G. Walker Funeral Home Ltd., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington where prayers of transfer will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday, Oct. 1, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at Mt.
