Carol L. "Tootie" Mochanski Obituary

Carol Louise “Tootie” Mochanski, 84, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died at home on Friday June 24, 2022 with her family at her side.  Born in Nanty-Glo, PA on December 16, 1937, she was one of six children to the late Marko and Katherine Gregurich.

Tootie was vivacious, fun, and loved to care for her family.  When she wasn’t crocheting or making her famous perogies, she was pressing her luck, a true gambling girl at heart. She loved to play cards and bingo, and ultimately hitting the slots at Three Rivers Casino was her favorite activity. She was very social and loved spending time with her friends at Tarentum- American Legion Post 593, where she was a member.    She captured the hearts of everyone who crossed her path, and will be so deeply missed for her spirited personality, and deep love she gave.  Carol is survived by her beloved daughters Diana (Dan) Coscarelli and Brenda (Richard) Verner; eight cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Kathryn, Christopher, Teri, Tracy, who helped care for her, Jennifer, Michelle, Amy, and Ilah; her nine great grand-children, Malia, Samantha, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Sara, Alexis, Conner, Blake, and Kameron; special niece Sharon; and a host of additional nieces and nephews. Carol was reunited in Heaven with her husband Walter Mochanski, two beloved sons Ronald, and Walter Jr.; siblings, Eleanor, Elizabeth, John, Marko Jr., and Thomas as well as her parents Marko Sr. and Katherine. Per Carol’s wishes all services and burial at Mt. Airy Cemetery are private and entrusted toROSS G.
