Brian Bruce Attinger, 69 of Plum Borough died Thursday, January 6, 2022 at UPMC East Monroeville, with his beloved wife, Elaine, at his side. Brian was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on November 6, 1952, one of three children, to the late Donald and Joanne Hechesky Attinger. He later moved to the Valley with his family where he was raised, and was a graduate of Burrell High, class of 1970.
Brian, a steadfast hard worker, excelled in all endeavors, held a deep love and respect for his country serving in the United States Army, and working as an Information Specialist at the 911 Reserve Air Force Base. Living a life of faith was of upmost importance to him, and he led his community in his conviction and witness for Christ as a Pastor at Saltsburg Baptist Church. This was a position he embraced, with a church community who loved him back and sought his guidance weekly. Brian was full of adventure and always ready for the next opportunity to kick back and cruise on his motorcycle or coast the Loyalhanna Lake on his boat. Above all, his greatest achievement was the role he held within his family, which he and Elaine built on a foundation of love and traditional values instilled within their six children and 14 grandchildren. Creating countless everlasting memories imprinted within our hearts, he was man so devoted to his country, community, and most of all family. Brian will be deeply missed for his most giving tender heart, passion for living each day to the fullest, and the humility and strength he carried throughout his entire life daily.
Brian is survived by his best friend and wife, Elaine; his six beautiful children, Jennifer (Randy) Emmonds, Emily (Ryan) Patton, Jessica Attinger, Anna (Ryan) Kochka, Bill (Chrissy) Hussak, and Janné Hussak; cherished grandchildren, Colin, Katie, Noah, JoHannah, Bentley, Ashton, Adaline, Annie, Joey, Billy, Tommy, Dani, Lily, and Lyla; and brothers, Donald (Cheryl) & Mark (Beverly) Attinger.
