Blane Henry Cribbs Obituary

Blane H. Cribbs, 83, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025.


He was born in Lower Burrell on May 8, 1941 to the late Blane W. & Mary Gravatt Cribbs and served proudly in the United States Army from 1960-1963 when he was stationed in Germany.  


Blane’s working career wrapped up as groundskeeper for Ross G. Walker Funeral Home in New Kensington.


Surviving are his companion of 35 years, Jacqueline R. “Jackie” Ludwiczak; brother, James (Rosemary) Cribbs; and step-children, Dean Ludwiczak, Michele (Jared) May and Brenda (Mark) Stewart. 


Besides his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, infant Blane W. Cribbs Jr., Beverly Garrity, Betty Eckman, Evelyn Guido, Doris Hartman, Nina Lerner, Shirley Cribbs and David Cribbs; and step-daughter Cindy Ludwiczak.


Viewing will be on Wednesday, April 30, from 11AM until time of service at 1PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.  Rev. Dean Ward will officiate.  Military honors will be then conferred by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home.  Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
