Beverly A. (Walker) Boggs, 82, of New Kensington, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in her daughter, Kelly’s home in Lower Burrell.
Born March 3, 1943 in New Kensington, she was a daughter of the late Willis Walker & Beatrice (McDonald) Walker.
Beverly was a 1961 graduate of Ken High. She left home shortly after graduating to take a secretarial position for the U.S.
government in Washington D.C. After marrying her late husband Harry, they lived on the Naval air station on the Patuxent River, Maryland, where their first child was born in 1963. They moved back to Pennsylvania in 1966, and Beverly worked at the Terrace Elementary School as a playground monitor while raising her two daughters. Beverly then worked at Walzer’s Cleaners, Sir James Printing, Altmeyer’s, and Bright Ideas as a decorator.
Beverly loved to exercise, and was a lifetime member of Curves. She was also a member of the former 1st Evangelical Lutheran Church- New Kensington. Beverly had a flair for decorating and flower arranging, and loved to knit blankets for her grandbabies, sewing, going to bingo, reading, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Harry A. Boggs, who passed away on June 4, 2024; granddaughter, Taylor Marcy; and her great-granddaughter, Molli Sable.
Beverly is survived by her daughters, Joni (Brian) Marcy of New Kensington, Kelly (William) Thomey of Lower Burrell; grandchildren, Christopher Marcy, Megan McCreight, Alexis (Gary) Jones, Marissa McCreight, Makenna Matuizek; great-grandchildren, Kinzley, Kruz, Charlotte, Josie, Sunny; sister, Patty (Harry) Libengood of New Kensington; brothers, Thomas Walker of Sarver, Wayne (Maureen) Walker of Lower Burrell; and nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 2:00 pm until the hour of the funeral service at 4:00pm in the Ross G. Walker Funeral Home 217 Freeport Road New Kensington, PA.
