Betty Lou (Bouchat) Sharick

Betty Lou Sharick, 95, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025. 

She was born April 10, 1930 in New Kensington, to the late Louis J. & Audrey Chambers Bouchat, and graduated from Ken-Hi in 1948.  and was also preceded in death by her late husband John W. Sharick on October 15, 1994.

Mrs. Sharick was a homemaker and loved making beautiful crafts for her family and friends.  She was a longtime member of the United Presbyterian Church of New Kensington, and served on their Board of Deacons. 

Surviving are her children, Patricia (Michael) Rayburg, John Sharick and Lisa (Robert) Watt; grandchildren, Alex (Kathryn), Ben and Lauren Watt, Heather (Chad) Smith and Jessica (Russ) Bayer; and great-grandchildren, Tyler & Jacob Bayer and Logan Smith.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her late husband John W. Sharick in 1994; brother Jackie and sister Helen Mae.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5-8PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held Thursday, at 11AM.  Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
