Beatrice Elizabeth Leonard

Beatrice Elizabeth Leonard, 91, of New Kensington, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 21, 2021, in the comfort of her own home surrounded by loving family. She was born September 5, 1929, in Mt. Vernon, New York to the late Robert and Beatrice Burwell. 

Bea worked at Citizens general Hospital in New Kensington and spent many years as a homemaker taking care of her children. She was a devoted Christian and a member of the Bibleway Christian Fellowship Church. She loved watching her old western shows and baking when she had the chance. She loved spending time with her family and watching over her plenty of grandchildren. 

Grandma Bea was the beloved wife of the late Roy Leonard Sr. and the mother of Phyllis Williams, Roy Leonard Jr, Joey Morris, Judy Leonard, and Teresa Krizan all of New Kensington. She was the last of the late siblings, Alfred Sr. (Niece; Beverly Ann Robinson), Robert, Johnny Burwell, James Camal, Sarah Henderson, and sister-in-law Nancy Chavis.  She was survived by her grandkids, Felicia Williams, Jacquet Jones, Carrington Leonard, Kayshala and Shavonne Lincoln, and Tyrone Leonard; great grandkids, Shanice, Andrea, Letresse, Janay, Shannell, Ricquel and Joseph; and great-great granddaughter, Laala Williams. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great-great grandbaby, Cali.

Viewing will be on Friday, June 25 beginning at 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 PM in the Ross G. Walker Funeral Home Ltd., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
