Barbara Ann Fisher, 83, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
She was born October 20, 1942 in New Kensington to the late George & Dorothy Harris Burkett, and was a 1960 graduate of Ken-Hi.
Mrs. Fisher was a music teacher for 60 years, teaching at the former Transylvania Bible College, and gave private music lessons in seven different instruments including piano and clarinet to her hundreds of past students.
She was a Girl Scout Leader and loved to farm, raising pigs, cows and chickens at her farm in Sarver. She also loved to play croquet and designed wedding clothes.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Robert Fisher; and siblings William, Robert, George Jr., Daniel, and David Burkett.
Surviving are her sister Sandra (Charles) Momberger; and a niece Christina (David) Hawkins; caretaker Brianna Hogue and best friend Janice Wray.
Viewing will be Tuesday, May 12, from 5-8pm in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held Tuesday, May 13, at 10AM. Private burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery, Saxonburg.
