Roy Modolo

Roy Modolo, Sr., 86, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 24, 2017. He was born March 10, 1931 in New Kensington to the late John & Antonia Ianes Modolo, and was a 1949 graduate of Ken-Hi.  He served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict for several years. Mr. Modolo was a millwright for several local companies, including American St. Gobain, Woodings Tool & Die and Spinblast.  He also dabbled in plumbing, HVAC, and bartending. Survivors include his children, Antonia Marie Bailey, Ray (Diane) Modolo, John Kader (Sharon) Modolo, Jay Chato (Kathleen) Modolo, and Clara Sonseeahrae (Timothy) Heston; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Clara (William) Umek and John (Mary) Modolo. Besides his parents, he was preceded by his wife, Patrecia Ann Norris-Cartwright; son Roy Modolo Jr.; and grandson, Shane Kader. Services and burial were private and were entrusted to ROSS G.
