Marjorie McKeever-Kornfeld

Marjorie McKeever Kornfeld, age 84, died peacefully after a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in New York City, NY.   Marjorie grew up in Parnassus, PA and graduated first in her class of 1951 at New Kensington High School. Marjorie attended Grove City College and moved to New York City where she studied Design in the garment industry. She was employed as a buyer in the industry for a number of years. Marjorie was the eldest daughter of Dwight L McKeever and Marie Martin McKeever (both deceased) of Parnassus and New Kensington, PA. She is survived by her ex-husband, Martin Kornfeld in New York City; niece Ginny Hicks Epsten and nephew-in-law Brad Epsten of Kansas City, MO; nephew Lewis N. Hicks of Palo Alto, CA and brother-in-law Nelson C. Hicks of Charleston, SC. In addition, she was great aunt to Sam, Maddie, Sarah and Augie.  Marjorie was predeceased by her younger sister, JoAnne M Hicks who died in 2014. A private interment is planned for a later date at Plum Creek Cemetery in Plum Borough in Western Pennsylvania.
