Larry J. Pedatella, 70, of Allegheny Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Kensington to the late Mario & Jesse Fiorina Pedatella and was a 1967 graduate of Lower Burrell High School. After high school, Larry was drafted into the Army and proudly served his country for two years during the Vietnam War. He was a welder for Allegheny Ludlum, now Allegheny Teledyne in Brackenridge for 32 years, retiring in 2000. He was a fan of NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed animals. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Sandra Lee Sladisky Pedatella; three daughters, Michelle Lynn (Patrick) Thomas of Iselin, Monica Lynn (Matthew) Austin of Kiski Township, and Melissa Lynn (Andy) Pedatella of Apollo; grandchildren, Christopher/Sadie, Zachary, Vinny, Carrigan and Kayla; and great grandchildren, Bentley, Nash and Lucca, expected in October; his sister, Robin; nephews Richie and Jason; and his dogs, BZ and Addy. Special thanks to Memory Meadows in Gilpin Township, and especially, Carrie and Dan, ViaQuest Hospice for all their care. Private arrangements were entrusted to ROSS G.
