John Llewellyn Obituary

John Matthew “Matt” Llewellyn, 53, of Brackenridge passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.  He was born June 11, 1965, in Pittsburgh to Carmella Naughton and the late Joseph F. Llewellyn Sr.

John was a successful business owner for over 25 years at Llewellyn Bros. in West Deer and retired in August of 2014 with a disability. He truly enjoyed life, along with watching the car races at Lernerville Speedway, hunting and fishing with his buddy, Ray (Karen) Seibert, and spending time with his daughter, brothers, and sisters.  John was quite the storyteller and was recognized as the family historian.

Survivors include his daughter, Kaitlyn K. Llewellyn; mother, Carmella Naughton; step-father, Charles “Ron” Naughton; siblings, Lisa L. (Martin) Swigart, Joseph F. (Mary Jo) Llewellyn Jr., Helen M. Llewellyn, Steve P. (Jennifer) Llewellyn, Kelly A. (Pete) VanMeter, Karen A. Hans, and Shannon M. (Herb) Babinsack; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph F. Llewellyn Sr., and his son, Nicholas Llewellyn, in 2014.

Visitiation will be Friday, Jan. 4 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 5 at 9:30 AM with Rev. Dean Ward, presiding. John will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew him.
