James L Walters

James L. Walters, 80, of Plum Borough, passed away peacefully Saturday September 2, 2017. He was born March 23, 1937, in Plum to the late James and Vera Wills Walters. He graduated from Plum High School and was a Army Veteran, stationed in Fort Knox, Ky. Mr. Walters was a heater on the furnace at Allegheny Ludlum, Brackenridge for 30 years, retiring in 1997. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, and watching and feeding birds, vacationing in Bethany Beach , Del.,  watching NASCAR , gardening and spending time with his dog Sam, and was a  World War II history buff. Surviving is his wife of 31 years, , Jean Hosac Walters, daughter, Brittany M. Walters and her boyfriend, Jeffery Fortuner, of Carbondale: and sisters , Joyce Kardos, of Apollo, Lila Kirkpatrick of Plum, and Mary Alice Borland , and her husband Richard of Lower Burrell. Viewing and services by the Rev. Dean Ward will be private and at the convenience of the family, and were handled by the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.
