James O. Baun

James O. Baun, Sr., 90, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2017. He was born September 14, 1927, in Rochester Mills, and was a 1946 graduate of Punxsutawney High School, and was a Rochester Mills resident until moving to New Kensington in 1989. He was employed at Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont since 1982, and was in the Army Reserves for eight and one half years. Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Linda French Baun; children, Richard L. Baun  Michael R. Baun; and Kathy Sue O’Donnell; and 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; step-children, Teresa Bertovich, Brenda Owens, Ryan Schneider and Regis Schneider, Jr.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James O, Baun Jr.; a sister, Dorothy Jean Dwyer.
