Howard D. Skufca

Howard D. Skufca, 82, of Shadyside, and formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 12, 2017, in his home. He was born September 2, 1935 in New Kensington to the late John & Pearl Gifford Skufca, and attended St. Paul Orphanage in Pittsburgh.  He was a veteran of the Army. Mr. Skufca was a floor manager for O.K. Grocery in Crafton for 15 years.  He loved to travel and particularly enjoyed living in Chicago for several years.  He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and loved watching Steeler football.  He was the kind of a guy that would help anyone in need and give them the shirt off his back. Surviving are his daughters, Theresa Marie Maxwell of Greensburg, and Stephanie P. Skufca and her significant other Tammy Koval; two grandchildren, Meghan Pearl Maxwell and Nicholas Seldon Maxwell; and several nieces, nephews, co-workers, friends and acquaintances. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, John, Sam, Mike, Arthur and Thomas; sisters, Edna and Lillian; and his step-sister, Frances Greg. Viewing will be on Saturday, June 17, from 10 AM until services at 12 Noon in ROSS G.
