Howard A. Gordon Jr

Howard A. Gordon, Jr., 85, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, on Monday, July 10, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 20, 1932 in Pittsburgh, to the late Howard A. Sr. & Lillian Gravatt Gordon, and was a 1950 graduate of Ken-Hi. Mr. Gordon served as an Army Medic during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955.  He was a lab technician with ALCOA, Upper Burrell Township, and retired in 1993 after working there 32 years. He was a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Club, the Antique Car Club, the Allegheny Packard Club, the Kiski Car Club and the International Music Box Society.  He loved traveling and antiquing and volunteered with the Meals on Wheels.  He enjoyed antique cars, especially Packards, of which he restored several.  He restored a 1912 Indian Motorcycle and received the National AACA First Place Award for his restoration work. Surviving are his sons, Howard F. (Jane) Gordon, David (Sheri) Gordon, Dale (Kristin) Gordon and Christopher (Andria) Gordon; daughters, Marcia (Barrett Clark) Gordon and Michelle Hough; his grandchildren, Stephen (Joey) Gordon, Christopher Gordon, Marie and Emma Hough, McKenzie and Delaney Gordon, Jack & Nathan Gordon; his twin sister, Mona Jean Young of Monongahela; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Giorgio Gordon in 2015; and sister Eunice Mae Bell.  Viewing will be on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a service will be held Friday at 11AM by Rev.
