Evelyn Pitts

Evelyn Pitts, 93, of Arnold, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 1, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Sept. 30, 1925, in Pittsburgh to the late Wilbur & Viola Elliot Taylor.

Evelyn was a member of Bethlehem Temple Faith Church in Arnold.  She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and working with children.

Survivors include her children, Constance “Connie” E. (Elder Ronald) White, Linda S. Pitts, Evelyn M. Booker, Marcella A. Moore, Sigrid L. (Dwight) Moore, Milton M. (Letricia) Pitts III, Jocelyn L. (Elder Carl E.) Farrell, Shawnne R. (Kevin) Harris, Patrice A. Pitts, and Kaye E. Green, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one cousin. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Saunders, Ira Taylor, Edward Taylor, Osie Taylor, Lucille Johnson, and Lillian Lubiano. 

Viewing will be Friday, October 5 from, 2-5p in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, followed by a Celebration of Life at The River - A Community Church,  200 Freeport Road, New Kensington from 6-9p.  Viewing will also be held on Saturday, one hour prior to funeral service at 11a in Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 1150 Asa W. Roberts Way, New Kensington.  Co-officiates will be sons-in-law, Elder Carl E. Farrell Jr. and Elder Ronald White.  Anyone attending the service is asked to go directly to the church.  Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville.
