Elaine R. Folser

Elaine R. Folser, 76, of Lower Burrell passed away peacefully Friday, December 7, 2018.  She was born September 12, 1942, in New Kensington to the late Gerald and Ruth Gass McCoy.

Elaine graduated from Ken-Hi in 1960 and also was a graduate of Franco Beauty Academy and New Kensington Commercial School.  Elaine worked as a beautician at Marge’s Beauty Shop, and also spent some time working at Mac’s Village, both of Lower Burrell.  Additionally, she was a secretary at Top Craft Counter Tops, in Harrison Township, and was a temp for ALCOA  Research.  She was a member of Grace Community United Presbyterian Church, the Burrellton Garden Club, and the Eastern Star.

She loved to camp and was an avid shopaholic.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, George R. Folser; two sons, Robert A. (Jennifer) Folser and Wesley A. (Leslie) Folser; three grandchildren, Devin, Chase, and Kylie Folser; brother, Gary (Marcia) McCoy; brother-in-law, Thomas Dodd; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, her sister, Nora Dodd, preceded her in death.

Viewing will be Tuesday, December 11 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 10 AM with Rev. Kenneth Foust, presiding.  Eastern Star Services will be held Tuesday at 7 PM in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
