Edward P. R. Householder, 65, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9, at home, surrounded by his friends and family. Born July 13, 1951 in New Kensington, to the late Marion R. “Hoppy” & Betty Jo Labosky Householder, he was a graduate of Valley High School in 1969, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1972-1975, and several years afterwards. Ed first worked at Tri-City Cab, a company owned by his father, maintaining the vehicles there.  He also worked on the river barges at Davison Sand and Gravel, and later was an electrician for Mentzell Electric.  He enjoyed working on cars, plumbing, rebuilding computers, and his three dogs, Molly, Rascal and Mickey.  He was a kind soul and was loved by all. Survivors include his sister, Sherry Longo, of Pompano Beach, Florida; niece, Kim (Jim) Reese of Plum Borough; grand niece and nephew, Talia and Trent Reese; and Annette. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Edward Sebastian Householder in 2012. A celebration of life service will be held at his graveside in Greenwood Memorial Park on Friday, June 16 at 12 Noon, followed by a luncheon at the Davies American Legion Post on Wildlife Lodge Road, Lower Burrell at 1 PM.  ROSS G.
