Dwayne Calvin Bottorff, 57 years of age, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 surrounded by loved ones at Concordia Lutheran Ministries’ Good Samaritan Hospice.
Dwayne is survived by his mother, Kathy (Appleton); his brothers, David and Douglas; his wife, Kathie (Tomajko); his sons, Anthony and Angela (Wojtaszek) and Corey and Janine (Kordonowy); grandchildren, Adalyn and Anthony Jr; numerous extended family members; and his beloved dog, Nathan.
Dwayne was born September 12, 1960 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Kathy and the late Charles Bottorff. He was raised in Moon Township, PA and attended Moon High School. He welcomed his oldest son, Anthony, on June 11, 1987 and his youngest son, Corey, on March 1, 1989. Recently, Dwayne was able to retire from the Robinson Township Water Authority after excelling in his career for over 30 years. He later met his wife, Kathie, and were later married in New Kensington.
Dwayne was an avid hunter, fisherman, and enjoyed racing as a fan and driver. In his spare time, he always had a passion for finding hands-on projects around the house, riding his ATV, and cheering on his favorite Pittsburgh sports teams and NASCAR drivers. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 PM on August 9th at Ross G. Walker Funeral Home, 217 Freeport Road in New Kensington, PA. Rev. Dean Ward will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Concordia Lutheran Ministries’ Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
