William E. Moses

William E. “Bill” Moses, 75, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 27, 2016, with his wife, Rose Marie “Petey” Moses by his side, just as she had been for the past 50 years. Born in New Kensington, to Henry & Mary Neasi Moses, he lived on Second Avenue in New Kensington until his parents moved to Ft. Lauderdale, in 1956, along with his first cousin, Dennis Neasi. Bill graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1958. He was an avid baseball player, basketball player and tennis player. Shortly after graduation, Bill entered the US Air Force and was stationed in Bitburg, Germany, and played basketball for the Bitburg Barons. Upon his honorable discharge, he received his B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University and his Masters of Health Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Bill married his soulmate, Rose Marie Bailey on July 31, 1965. Rose became fondly known as “Petey” Moses. Bill enjoyed a long and notable career as a Controller and Chief Financial Officer for several hospitals in Florida, Pennsylvania and California. Surviving are his wife “Petey” Moses; his two children, Kari Moses Tarnowski of Plantation, FL, and Michael Esper Moses of Monroe, NJ; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jack, Alexander, and Angelina; and his many loving cousins, godchildren, and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 30, 2016, from 1:00 PM until services at 4:00 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Rev. Father Meletios Zafaran, pastor of St. George Orthodox Church of New Kensington, will officiate. Following the service, Bill will head home to Florida with his family. A viewing is planned at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home in Plantation, FL, and a funeral Mass will be held at St. Gregory Catholic Church, followed by burial at Forest Lawn South. Time and dates for the Florida service are still pending.
