Michael A. Morgan

Michael A. Morgan, 61, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2016.

He was born January 13, 1955 in Cheverly, Maryland to Evelyn (Everett) Smith Pumphrey of Silver Spring, MD and the late Norman M. Thomas.

Michael was a member of World Overcomer’s Ministry of New Kensington and enjoyed watching Western movie and helping people whenever they needed it.  He was known for having a heart of gold.  He also belonged to the Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks of the World in New Kensington.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Threase Elaine Davis Morgan; two daughters, Tonya D. (fiance Tony Thomas) Morgan of Laurel, MD and Shawnta D. (Antwon) Knuckles of New Kensington; grandchildren, Tashawn Hart, Santana Hampton, and Damir, Faith and Savana Knuckles; great-grandchildren, Skye & Joelle Hart and Brooke Hampton; siblings, Charlene & Sharon Thomas, Tina Thomas-Matthews, Gloria Thomas, Marsha Morgan, Debbie Johnson, Maridelle King, Dina Smith-Butler, Earnest & Morris Powell, Raymond & Ricky Smith, and James Thomas; father and mother-in-laws, Lovie (Joan) Scott and Robert (Carrie) Hebron;  a sister-in-law, Kelley Davis; special friends Riley (Sandra) Gibson and Vernon (Joyce) Powell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws

Besides his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Thomas.

Viewing will be 6-8 PM on Thursday (Sept. 15), and Friday (Sept 16) from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM in ROSS G.
