Michael E. Molocznik

Michael E. Molocznik, 97, of Murrysville, passed away peacefully at home on January 8, 2017. He was born October 3,1919 in Gary, WV to the late Andrew & Frances Mazurkiewicz Molocznik and attended St. Mary of Czestochowa Polish School, and proudly served his country during WWII, in the United States Army. Mr. Molocznik was a tool & die operator in the cooking utensil department of ALCOA, New Kensington, retiring in 1970, then was custodian for the Franklin Regional School District until the early 1980’s. Michael belonged to St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington, the American Legion in Lower Burrell, and enjoyed gardening, and  woodworking.  He especially enjoyed making adirondack chairs.  Survivors include his daughters, Joan M. Remaley of Saxonburg and Lorraine A. (David) Skomo of Butler, and her son, Thomas M. Molocznik of Murrysville; twin grandsons, David (Monica) Skomo and Darin Skomo; two great-grandsons, Alec and Nathan Skomo; sister-in-law Marie Anastasi of Lewes, DE; brother-in-law Bernard Pajrowski of Punta Gorda, FL; brother-in-law Donald Blythe of Neward, DE; many nieces and nephews; and his special caregiver, Judy Panuline. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jeannette Pajrowski Molocznik; two brothers, Joseph and Eugene Molocznik; and a sister who died in childhood, Josephine Molocznik. Private viewing was held in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD. (successor to John F. Krupa Funeral Home), 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, and a private funeral Mass was held in St. Mary Church, New Kensington.  Burial and military honors accorded by the Vandergrift VFW was in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lower Burrell.  Those desiring may contribute to the cemetery fund of St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell.  To leave an online condolence visit www.rossgwalker.com
