Lakeasha Barber

Lakeasha Shantae Barber, 38, of New Kensington, and formerly of Denver, CO, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 13, 2017. She was born in Denver, CO on March 8, 1979, to Yolanda Thompson of Denver and the late Wilfred Mack, she was a 1998 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, and was a Certified Nurse Assistant for Rose Medical Center in Denver for 15 years. Lakeasha was a member of the Riverside Community Church at the Pittsburgh Mills Mall and enjoyed listening to music, spending time with her family, and exploring and traveling. Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, of 17 years, Nathan D. Barber; children, Jwuan & Janyce Barber, both students at Valley High School; and her sister, Monisha Hall of Denver. A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 21, at 12 Noon in the Riverside Community Church, 545 Pittsburgh Mills Circle, Tarentum (in the Mall).  ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., of  New Kensington (724-335-1234) was entrusted with the arrangements.
