Eugene A. Nichols

Eugene A. Nichols, 63, of Arnold, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. He was born March 13, 1953, in New Kensington to the late Eugene A. & Lucille Leonard Nichols, and was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Alice Banks and Patricia Monroe and nephew, Charles Banks. Eugene was a truck driver for Allegheny Ludlum, Brackenridge, for 30 years, retiring about 15 years ago. He was a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with an associate degree. He attended church at Canaan First Baptist Church of New Kensington, and enjoyed traveling, photography and going to the casinos. He loved his family and friends and was a tremendous help to many. Survivors include two aunts, Beatrice Leonard of New Kensington and Nancy Chavis of McKeesport, brother-in-law, Gerald Monroe, nieces Danielle Monroe, Juanita Brown, and Katherine Banks. Surviving also are his two nephews, with whom he lived with Bryon Nichols and Sidney Banks. Lastly, Eugene leaves behind nephew Robert White as well as a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins and numerous friends. Viewing will be on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington where a service will be Tuesday at 11 AM. Rev. Ronald Simmons will officiate. Burial will be private.
