Effie May Hunger

Effie Mae Hunger, 95, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2016.

She was born Feb. 25, 1921 to Clark and Effie Mae Leasure Nichols and was a graduate of Springdale High School. 

Effie Mae was a longtime member of Arnold United Methodist Church and also belonged to the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Eastern Star.  She was a wonderful cook.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Donald H. Hunger; and a daughter, Judie Latella.

Surviving are her daughter Claudia (Karl) Randall of Vero Beach, FL; two grandsons, Donald Meyers and Arthur Meyers; three great-grandchildren, Cattleya, Abe & Eli; and sister Nancy LoFiego.

Visitation will be on Monday from 6-8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until services at 11 AM on Tuesday, September 13 in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.  To leave an online condolence visit www.rossgwalker.com
