Cora Mae McDonald Houser, 65, of New Kensington, died Saturday March 3, 2018, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born June 14, 1952 to the late Norman McDonald and Cora Hughes McDonald in Martinsburg , West Virginia. Cora was a 1970, graduate of Charlestown High school, Shenandoah Junction, W.V. She married William Houser Jr. on May 25, 1974, sharing life together for the last 43 years. Cora retired from PPG Industries as a Kettle Operator, mixing and processing paints. She could be found post retirement playing bingo and enjoying the casino, but there was nothing more meaningful to her, than her family, and spending time with them. Cora will be greatly missed by her survivors, her husband, William Hauser Jr, 5 brothers ; Stanley (Sharon), Richard (Cora), Charles, William, and Nelson, 3 sisters; Gloria Guy, Barbara Branson, and Carol (Vernon) Hunter, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Cora was preceded in death by two brothers Leslie and Norman, and two sisters Helen Houser and Norma Branson. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, March 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, 724-335-1234. A celebration of life service will be held Friday , March 9 at 11 a.m. at Abundant Life Fellowship, Kenneth Ave., New Kensington. The Rev. Stanley McDonald Jr. will officiate.
