Beverly Solomon Obituary

Beverly Jean (Bigenho) Solomon, 65, of Lower Burrell, died peacefully on Sunday March 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving sons at her residence.  Mrs. Solomon was born to the late David M. Bigenho and Ellen Bernice Bigenho in Wilkinsburg, and lived in the Arnold/ Lower Burrell area for most of her life.  She was a 1970 graduate of Valley High School (Arnold Campus).  After high school, she went on to receive an associate degree from the former New Kensington Commercial School specializing as a medical secretary in the transcription program. She was previously employed as an Administrative Secretary in the Human Resource Department of Harmarville Rehabilitation Center for approx. 12 years where she greatly enjoyed being part of an organization that helped others.  Later, Mrs. Solomon moved on to fulfill her greatest role as being a dedicated full-time mother, even sometimes working at her sons’ schools as a clerical fill-in for the Burrell School District. Mrs. Solomon enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.  In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 21 years Timothy H. Solomon in February of 2006.  She is survived by her two sons; Timothy Chase Solomon and Ryan David Solomon; as well as a brother David P. Bigenho. Family and Friends will be received Wednesday March 14, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.  Funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m.  Thursday March 15, 2018 with Pastor Ted Chapman presiding.  Interment will immediately follow the service at Greenwood Memorial Park Lower Burrell.
