March 16, 1931 ~ November 27, 2017 (age 86) 86 Years Old

August A. Campana, 86, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. 

 

He was born March 16, 1931, in New Kensington to late Eugene & Olga DeCastri Campana, was a graduate of Ken-Hi, and a New Kensington resident his entire life.  

 

Mr. Campana worked at Allegheny Ludlum, American St. Gobain, and S&S Vending, and was former co-owner of “Our Bar” with John Loehner.  He also was part owner of Arnold Coin, owner of Pine Hollow Springs Bottled Water, and partner with his daughter, Kristine, and son, August, Jr., at “Augies Sports Pub.”  A perfect gentleman, he was an avid Bocci player, enjoyed the card game Gin, and had an undying love for his family.

 

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Anne Santucci Campana; children, August A. (Nancy) Campana, Jr., and Jeffrey M. (Lorrie) Campana, both of New Kensington, Bruce (Donna) Campana of Arnold and Kristine M. (Vincent Taylor) Campana of New Kensington; grandchildren, Melissa, Geno, Jennifer, Thomas, Carlie, Kelly, Anthony, Kristie, Nicole, Vincent and Annamarie; great-grandchildren, Sydnee, Dominic, Giona, Gabriella, Lorenzo, Sergio and Elijah; and former daughter-in-law, Judith Ciuffoletti. 

 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Camillie and Eugene Campana and Gloria Robinson; and brothers-in-law, Anthony Santucci, Alfonso Santucci and Perry Egelsky.

 

Visitation will be 2PM-4PM & 6PM until services at 8PM on Thursday in ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington.  Rev. Harold Mele will officiate.  Private burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
