We are located along the Allegheny River in Westmoreland County, approximately 25 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, PA. We are very happy that you will be visiting us.
Traveling from the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
Exit the PA Turnpike at exit 47. (This exit is called Allegheny Valley or New Kensington Exit and was formerly called “Exit 5”). Make a right after the tollbooth, following signs for Pittsburgh. Travel several blocks untill you come to a Giant Eagle and a Get-Go Gas Station. Bear right onto Route 910 and follow signs for Route 28 North. Follow the directions below, “Traveling North from Pittsburgh.”
Traveling North from Pittsburgh:
Take Route 28 North to Exit 14 (Tarentum-New Kensington Exit), and bear right off the exit. Travel across the Tarentum Bridge, crossing the Allegheny River into Westmoreland County (and into New Kensington). Make right at third traffic light (at Taco Bell) onto Freeport Road. Stay on Freeport Road through three traffic lights and one stop sign – for exactly 1.9 miles – the funeral home is on the right.
Traveling South from Kittanning:
Take Route 28 North to Exit 14 (Tarentum-New Kensington Exit), and make a left onto Bull Creek Road which will lead you to the Tarentum Bridge. Travel across the Tarentum Bridge, crossing the Allegheny River into Westmoreland County (and into New Kensington). Make right at third traffic light (at Taco Bell) onto Freeport Road. Stay on Freeport Road through three traffic lights and one stop sign – for exactly 1.9 miles – the funeral home is on the right.
Traveling West from Greensburg:
Travel Route 30 West to Route 66 North. Follow 66 North to Route 366 West. Follow this road approximately 11 miles into New Kensington. After you pass a Dairy Queen on your right, bear right at the first “Y” intersection. About a block later, you will bear right at the second “Y” intersection where a Sunoco Gasoline Station will be on your right. Follow this road and turn left at the second traffic light onto Seventh Street. Stay on Seventh Street and turn right at the first traffic light. This is Freeport road. We are just up the hill on the left.
Traveling West from Monroeville:
Travel Route 22 East to Route 286 through Holiday Park in Plum Boro, until Route 286 turns right at the top of a long gradual uphill slope. Route 286 will turn right just before the top of this grade. DO NOT TURN RIGHT! Continue straight and you will now be on Route 380, which turns into a four lane highway that heads down hill to a cloverleaf. At the cloverleaf, pass beneath an overpass and take the right hand exit marked “New Kensington” and “Route 366 West.” Follow this route for several miles into New Kensington. After you pass a Dairy Queen on your right, bear right at the first “Y” intersection where a Sunoco Gasoline Station will be on your right. Follow this road and turn left at the second traffic light onto Seventh Street. Stay on Seventh Street and turn right at the first traffic light. This is Freeport road. We are just up the hill on the left.
Traveling West from Penn Hills:
Travel Hulton Road North until the traffic light where it meets the Oakmont and Lognas Ferry Road, when then becomes Coxcomb Road also known as Route 909 (Oakmont East Golf Course will be directly in front of you). Make a right at that light. Follow Coxcomb Road several miles until you go down a hill (this is known as Coxcomb Hill). Stay on this road until you come to a McDonalds Restaurant. Bear left after the restaurnat at a “Y” intersection and you will come to a stop sign. Turn left at this stop sign. About a block later, you will bear right at the second “Y” intersection where a Sunoco Gasoline Station will be on your right. Follow this road and turn left at the second traffic light onto Seventh Street. Stay o Seventh Street and turn right aat the first traffic light. This is Freeport road. We are just up the hill on the left.
